Abstract:
The historical study of Australian education, an emerging branch in the western educational history, has faced the dual effects of social history and empirical research, characterized by “instrumentalization”, “contemporaneity”, “double shift” and “quantitative discrimination”. It takes on the innovation of research paradigms from the perspective of transnational gender education and historical research while its research objects shifts from the macro historical events to the life value of individuals. In the study of Australian educational history, quantitative methods are used to enhance the authenticity of historical materials, therefore increasing the practical value of educational history research.
