摘要:
为考察新疆民族大学生英语理解性与产出性能力特性,随机抽取40位母语为维吾尔语的新疆民族大学生被试开展研究,结果发现:民族生上述两种能力间存在显著性差异。并且,这种差异性在不同难度的语言区间段表现有所不同。对语言输入缺乏深度加工是造成上述现象的直接原因;英语学习起步较晚和现行教学模式的某些不足是造成上述现象的间接原因。实现英语能力从理解性到产出性的跨越是新疆民族大学生大学英语教学改革的当务之急。
Abstract:
s: This research selected 40 Uygur college students to participate in the experiment conducted to probe into the structural feature of English receptive and productive proficiency. The results revealed that a significant difference existed in these two proficiencies of the participants, and that the difference varied at different sections of difficult levels. It found that the lack of deep processing of language input was the direct cause of the gap in the two proficiencies while the late start of English learning, improper current educational mode and negative mother tongue transfer were the fundamental causes. This suggests that a transition from receptive proficiency to productive proficiency is of top priority in the reform of Uygur college students’ English teaching.
